Julia´s Approach to Osteopathy

  • Osteopathic treatment is a quiet conversation with the body—a gentle listening that invites balance to return.

  • When one area of the body is disturbed, the whole system responds. Osteopathic treatment works with this unity, encouraging harmony throughout the body and mind.

  • Treatment is creating space for alignment, flow, and the quiet intelligence that guides the body back toward wholeness.

Common issues Osteopathy can help with:

– Stress-related tension

– Autonomic nervous system imbalance

– Sacrum or cranium related discomfort

– Digestive issues

– Lower back pain

– Knee/ hip pain

– Insomnia, sleeping problems

– Recovery after an accident or surgery

– Breathing difficulties

– Chronical diseases (Rheumatism, fibromyalgia etc.

Benefits of Osteopathic treatment

Through subtle, mindful touch, tension begins to soften and the body is supported in remembering its own innate wisdom for healing, not only easing what is present, but tending to what seeks harmony in the future.

The influence of osteopathy often ripples beyond muscles and joints. As the body releases held tension, the mind may grow clearer and the heart lighter, revealing the deep and living connection between physical form, emotions, and inner awareness.

After a session, allow yourself time to settle and integrate. Rest gently. Move slowly. Avoid alcohol and strenuous activity for one to two days, offering the body the stillness it needs to fully receive and embody the work.

”Having a session with Julia is like being held by an Angel. She has a real gift for putting your system at ease so that your body and mind can find equilibrium.

I came to her with lower back pain and a chest ache, both were greatly improved by her sessions. I wholeheartedly recommend Julia to all of my friends.”

”It was such a treat to get a treatment from Julia. She listened to the needs of my body through conversation and by touch attentively.

Then she held space for my body to fall into alignment and healing. I highly recommend her as I had great results from working with her.”

About Somatic Coaching

The symptoms may be signals that we have gone beyond our limits or that we have repeatedly reacted with tension to some situations or events in our lives.

They could help us to become sensitive to listening to ourselves more carefully. The more tension can be released during the treatment the deeper the process might begin after the treatment.

The symptoms can be seen as the tip of an iceberg, and something else that wants to become visible is often revealed.

I would like to invite you to be more present for your body sensorial experience, signals, and support you towards a stronger body-mind connection in order to gain optimal balance.

About me

I am a Finnish osteopath working in Brussels, Belgium. I graduated as an osteopath (UAS) in Finland in 2019, as a dancer (vocational qualification) in 2014, and as a community educator in 2011. I have been working as an entrepreneur since 2019.

It has been wonderful to notice how all of these educations have complemented one another.

Most recently, I completed a Yoga Alliance–approved trauma-informed yoga teacher training (My Vinyasa Practice, 2023).

Somatic practices have been part of my life in various forms since 2009.

I attended my first silent meditation retreat (Vipassana, S.N. Goenka) in 2009. This experience has had a profound influence on how I perceive the world through my inner experience and on how I work as an osteopath.

For over ten years, I have practiced daily meditation, which has helped me regulate my nervous system and take care of my own well-being.
